Doctor of the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences and Head of the Centre for the Study of Religions (UFR CRAC) at Gaston Berger University (Senegal) where he is a lecturer and researcher.
An associate of the Centre of Sociological Analysis and Intervention (EHESS / CNRS) and rapporteur for the Laboratory for the Analysis of Societies and Powers, Africa / Diasporas (UGB), he coordinates the African Observatory of the Religious in Saint Louis, Senegal.
A graduate in sociology, anthropology and the science of religions, he is currently working on Islam and pluralism (Europe, Maghreb and Africa). Consultant, member of various scientific associations and author of several articles, he has published L’Islam d’Occident? (Halfa, 2012), Musulmans et Catalans, une identité incertaine ? (Trabucaire, 2014) and more recently Rethinking identity (Halfa)
